Mr Adam Bialostocki

Cosmetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon
MBChB FRACS (Plastics)

Mr Adam Bialostocki is a specialist plastic surgeon, with a Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He is New Zealand-trained and thoroughly knowledgeable in the newest, safest and latest techniques available worldwide. His warm and respectful way with patients is well-known, with many journeying from the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions, New Zealand-wide, the Pacific and abroad, to meet with him. He consults and performs minor procedures here at Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic and more significant operations at Tauranga’s Grace Hospital. Ensuring his patients receive excellent care and achievable, long-lasting results are of utmost importance to Adam. His in-depth experience in the field of plastic surgery is an integral part of his skillset, and has gained him a reputation as a respected and talented surgeon nationally and internationally.

Suzanne

Practice Manager

In her role of coordinating management, administration, nursing and patients, Suzanne says she is privileged to work for a clinic that provides such a comprehensive range of specialist care to Bay of Plenty locals and beyond. She oversees the running of the clinic to the highest of standards and is delighted to be part of a team who provides a professional and discreet service to the community. Suzanne's expertise is essential to the smooth running of the business and she is immensely dedicated to the well-being and comfort of both patients and staff members. With a keen business brain, style and warmth, she personifies what the clinic strives to achieve. Suzanne’s charities of passion are the Waipuna Hospice where she helps with the bi-annual fund raising calendar and the Tauranga Wine and Food Festival. Through her work at Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic she has gained greater awareness of the lack of knowledge and support available for breast cancer and melanoma sufferers, prompting her to contribute in any way she can, along with the rest of the team.

Angela

Charge theatre and clinic nurse

British-born and trained Angela has many years of plastic surgical experience in both private and public plastic surgical hospitals in the UK, and more recently in New Zealand private surgical hospitals. With experience in day stay and short stay surgery, as well as having worked at Tauranga’s Grace Private Hospital, Angela is in charge of Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic's theatre and assists Mr Bialostocki and Mr Adams with surgery performed here. She also performs simple and complex wound care, punch biopsies and tissue expansion. Having moved to New Zealand with her family just over a decade ago, Angela loves the lifestyle offered by the Bay of Plenty region and enjoys an active social life.

Justin

Specialist Anaesthetist

Dr Justin Imrie has been employed as a consultant anaesthetist at Tauranga Public Hospital since 2003.  He has always been involved in teaching and for two years held the title of Supervisor of Training for the Tauranga anaesthetic registrars.  Dr Imrie relinquished this position to become Head of the Bay of Plenty Anaesthetic Department, which he also held for two years. Since 2006 Dr Imrie has also been involved in private practice at Grace Hospital, with his focus being primarily on plastic, orthopedic, vascular and general surgery.  His goals as an anaesthetist are to provide safety and quality of care.  Preoperative assessment, planning and consent are vital parts of this - as such he aims to see most prospective patients in his rooms at Grace Hospital before their operation date. Dr Imrie enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons fishing, surfing and biking in the playground provided by the Bay of Plenty.

Christine

Specialist plastic surgery theatre nurse

An invaluable member of the team, Christine, moves between Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic and Grace Private Hospital. Her warm and friendly manner makes Christine a popular nurse, and teamed with her experience, she brings another dimension to the Da Vinci family. As a registered nurse, Christine has over 20 years of theatre nursing expertise – three spent abroad in London's Harley Street Clinic and Harefield Hospital. Christine is a senior theatre nurse at Tauranga's Grace Private Hospital, applying specialist skills and knowledge, including plastic and cosmetic surgery alongside Mr Bialostocki and Mr Adams. She is also involved in general, gynaecology, some ENT and orthopaedic procedures. When she is at the Da Vinci Clinic she assists our surgeons with surgery performed under local anaesthetic and pre and post-operative reviews. Christine thrives on outdoor activities, many of which she shares with her three sons at their Bay of Plenty lifestyle block.

Rachel

Practice Nurse

A lifelong interest in biology and a drive to work in a people-centric environment, drew our practice nurse Rachel to a vocation in the medical field – specifically a nursing career which promised a journey of reward and hands-on engagement. After graduating, Rachel pursued roles in public and private hospitals – both in New Zealand and Canada – in predominantly surgical settings. Her specific areas of expertise include pre, peri and post-operative surgical care, and she relishes the opportunity to play a role in patients’ medical journeys – which never cease to amaze and inspire her. Alongside Rachels active and diverse role at Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic, she loves celebrating the best of the Bay of Plenty. You’ll find her out and about exercising, playing sports and spending time with her husband and children – a lifestyle that fits her to a tee.

Robyn

Reception

Every day brings reward for our Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic receptionist Robyn, who loves nothing more than seeing the differences occurring in our patients’ lives because of the care and expertise they receive at our clinic. A multitasker extraordinaire, on any given day you’ll find Robyn greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing referrals – she always goes the extra mile when coordinating specialist and patient requirements. When she’s not working at our clinic, she turns a creative hand to brush and canvas in her home studio. Staying fit, healthy and maximising the great outdoors is also high on her list, and you’ll often find her walking one of the many Bay of Plenty boardwalks and tracks.

Erin

Reception

Erin is the bright spark at Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic’s reception desk. A people person through and through, Erin thrives on helping our patients from the beginning of their journeys right through to post-op and recovery. With excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge in cosmetic, reconstructive and plastic surgery procedures, Erin is a natural fit for her role. A mum to twins, outdoor adventurers and cancer survivor, Erin’s personal battles overcoming both breast cancer and melanoma have made her even more determined to spread awareness and strengthen support for cancer sufferers. Experiencing first-hand the incredible calibre of the Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic staff throughout her cancer journeys, brought both greater peace-of-mind and assurance for Erin, and she feels blessed to be a part of a trusted team.
